About this deal

I set out black sparkly play dough, pipe cleaners, googly eyes and a book with a spider poem (Mad about Minibeasts) to inspire some spider creations! Itsy Bitsy Spider tells the adventures of a Spider, named Itsy Bitsy (or Incy Wincy – more popular in England) who is going up and down, and up again, as the weather is chaining. We take pride in offering a wide selection of used books, from classics to hidden gems, ensuring there? I knew I wanted to make one but I wasn’t expecting to do it right then and there so I just used what I had around, that’s why you see I didn’t have enough green rice and these are not an Instagram friendly photos lol. How many different creatures can you find - worms, slugs, snails, caterpillars, beetles, ants, woodlice, ladybirds?

I dumped my spooky sensory bottle and replaced the purple glitter with blue confetti to make this one. This will be the real test to see which shapes he knows and which shape they still need to practice. And here is so much opportunity for language development and different activities including the different characters in the story. This was initially a spooky spider sensory bottle because Halloween is just around the corner and when I shared it with my son I started to sing the itsy bitsy spider. The actual version of “ Itsy Winsy Spider” was later printed in 1947 by the California Folklore Society in the Western Folklore collection. This fantastic Counting Activity Resource Pack from Twinkl has been created specially in conjunction with The Imagination Tree, after I asked if they could be done!

I’m excited to begin a new series about singing, rhymes and music, starting with some popular nursery rhymes and counting songs over the next few weeks. Fill the bottle with water if you want the glow stick to sink or leave it empty if you want it to float. Ohhh I had purple glitter because it was a spooky spider but I’d I changed it to blue, then it would act as the rain! Rhyming text and beauitful, hand-stitched illustrations make this an ideal book for parents and young children to share. To create a mini-beast habitat gather logs, wooden pallets, house bricks, plant pots, bamboo, hollow tubes, leaves, grasses, sticks pebbles. This joyful rhyme describes how a spider goes up, comes downs and again climbs up the waterspout of a gutter system.
