It's also got a smooth musk base which is actually enjoyable compared to other musk fragrances of the same Era. This makes Chic a kind of insider tip flying under the radar - with less than thirty Euros even a very cheap one.

Take the musk and tonka (coumarin) combo at the base under this fruity, watery and powdery violet accord, I can't help but making a connection to Dior - Fahrenheit. If you need to try something differ than A men terry mugler and sauvage and Oudy scents, you can try it.You get the semblance of melon in the opening, not a clean or bright melon, but a sweet-spicy melon-like scent mixed with some inoffensive peppers. Would also be a much cheaper alternative to Amyris Homme from MFK, which is not a fragrance twin, but still goes in a similar direction. There's a touch of pepper and cardamom, cedar and tonka bean lending some sophistication and Chic has a gentle musky base. The smell of the perfume is comfortable for the nerves, pleasant, you can not get bored of it, very elegant, easy to wear, a perfume that stands in the middle between the classic sharp perfumes, and the modern sweet perfumes. The watermelon, im guessing, gives it that classic 212 "fresh cut green grass" note that everybody loves.

PS: I don't know if the current OFF still smells the same, but I am referring to the bottles we used back in the 80s. Seriously, it smells like you're in a watermelon field with a freshly cut watermelon in front of you. It becomes warmer as it dries down with amber, musk and sandalwood when the citrus starts to settle and slips away in the mid.
