This would have been excellent if it had released BEFORE I'd gotten into other digital card games and a slosher-load of other big-screen games! Culdcept Revolt tries its best to combine classic board and card games, but the execution is lacking in more complex strategies, making players feel as though they’re not building towards a strong end goal.

I've already seen some Critic Reviews that I know were done after only about 5-10 minutes worth of gameplay.

Count Kraniss of the city is trying to kill all the Cepters and my main character has amnesia and is trying to find out who he is. This system must be updated to the latest system software and connected to the internet with automatic downloads enabled, and it must have enough storage to complete the download.

UPDATE***I firmly believe someone is deliberately trying to tank the score for this game by leaving 1 or 2 point scores with no review. The story wasn't great, but for the most part it did its job of giving you some sort of loose explanation for why you're playing this card/board game with all the wacky characters. Allen learns that Kraniss actually sealed off the city because most of the rest of the world had actually fallen into a void due to the abandonment of the Chief God. Each creature has an element type that corresponds to one of the elements on the board (water, fire, earth, air). The further I go in the game, I more I realize how playing this like a standard game of Monopoly isn’t the way to victory. Culdcept Revolt is such a niche title – perhaps the most niche game in my gaming history – I can’t tell you if you'll like it.

The story is paper-thin, but the gameplay is perfectly balanced, and online multiplayer available to test your wits against anyone out there. The game was released in July 2016 in Japan by Nintendo and in October 2017 internationally by NIS America. When forming your deck of fifty cards, which are here named 'books', you need to keep in mind the more attack-oriented fire and earth elements, while balancing trickier water and air elements that boast special abilities. And Revolt delivers on that front, with appropriately menacing monster designs and a wide variety of creatures. A recommended move option is also available for newcomers and I found it surprisingly competent at determining my best move.

The concept is simultaneously inventive and archaic, doling out moments of pure delight and agonizing frustration in equal doses.Allen, the game's protagonist, is found unconscious and with amnesia on the streets of Celphas, a medieval-styled city, by Alicia, the leader of the Free Bats, a resistance group that opposes the city's ruler, Count Kraniss. im very happy with my purchase and the cards and dice that come with the sp ed are awesome, i have always enjoyed card games and board games - i loved boom street even though i think many didnt like it, tbh i hated boom street to start with but fell in love when i had given it enough play time.
